#2 Aretha Franklin , Natural Woman – December 2015
Aretha Franklin paid tribute to Carole King with a performance of “Natural Woman” at the Kennedy Center gala, which aired last night on CBS. The audience was studded with luminaries including President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle, Gina Rodriguez, and Viola Davis.

#3 Aurélie Dupont’s Farewell, Manon  at The Opéra de Paris – May 2015
Aurélie Dupont, a principal ballerina for the Paris Opera, stepped down from the star position this year at age 42 after performing “L’Histoire de Manon”, which was showed in hundreds of cinemas across Europe and North America. The performance was stunning.
