Over the years designer Sonia Rykiel has became a French institution. Her atelier and boutique on Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris are part of the Left-bank history.

Sonia Rykiel stepped down few years ago. Her daughter Nathalie, used to be Creative Director until 2015 when Julie de Libran was appointed to this role.

For lunch Sonia and Nathalie Rykiel used to cross the street to go to Café de Flore, another parisian institution, where Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre used to have coffee, and where fashion and intellectual crowds like to meet…to be seen.

Sonia and Nathalie used to order a Club Sandwich. As they always asked the bread to me removed, Café de Flore‘s owner decided to create Le Club Rykiel, a club sandwich sans pain, which is since available on the menu.

Don’t worry, the bread has been removed but you’ll still have mayonnaise and ketchup aside and potato chips. In case you need more calories Café de Flore serves delicious pastries you can order for desert.

Ingredients:
Le Club Rykiel is composed with layers of bacon between a stuffing of sliced, white chicken breast, tomatoes, lettuce, sauce, and a bunch of delectable potato chips.
